Despite having to straighten my hair everyday, I noticed my previous straighteners were starting to deteriorate in performance. I would straighten my hair every morning and by the time I jumped off the tube to walk to work, my hair would be a kinky mess all over again.
Luckily, Lee Stafford got in touch just at the right time and I haven't looked back since. My old straighteners are now no more (RIP) and 'The Straightener' by Lee Stafford has become my new favourite thing to use on my hair.
They work great on my hair extensions too; by making sure the hair is sleek and smooth enough to blend in with my own natural hair. I've used the straighteners on a mix of medium and thick extensions and it seems to work fine, but works best if the heat setting is set slightly higher.
The straighteners use a LED display which I much prefer because it's easier to see what temperature the straighteners are at. It also means that it only takes around 60 seconds for the straighteners to reach a maximum temperature of 230°C. Excellent for an impatient person like me in the mornings!
The plates are made from nano silver titanium and range from 80 to 230. I've been using them every day since I received them and have really noticed how great they are at gliding through the hair. There's no pulling, no snapping the hair and no getting the hair tangled in the plates. These are all of the problems I faced with my old straighteners.
I have also been using these straighteners to curl my hair on days that I don't want a straight look. Usually by midday, the curls will drop despite how much hairspray is used to secure the curls in place. Now I can spend a little longer on my hair in the mornings and have the look stay in place all day without dropping.
Retailing at £79.95 on Amazon, The Straightener by Lee Stafford is a little pricier than cheaper brands but they perform ten times better than other heated tools I have used. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who struggles to keep their hair straight for the whole day. With a 5 year guarantee too, you're set to have a good hair journey with these hot things. This device is truly amazing because it uses "Resonance Bass" sound optimization technology so the sounds produced from such a small device are magnificent. It adapts to every surface you place it on with vibrations which really amplifies the sounds.

I have tried this out on several surfaces such as my work desk, on the bath, kitchen surface and the floor and each surface works brilliantly. Music with really strong bass notes work the best and it's almost as if you can feel the music running through you.

Being a full time blogger means I have the luxury of working from home (which sometimes isn't that great), but either way, I thought I would share my work space with you a.k.a where the magic happens ... a.k.a my bedroom/office.

Within the next couple of weeks, I am hoping to buy an actual desk which I can work properly from. At the moment I have some white drawers from IKEA which are now unfortunately falling through and I just feel like they take up too much space anyway. However, this has been my work space for over a year now so I wanted to show it off before it changes again!
Hopefully getting a new desk will mean I'll have more space for things. I currently have all my lotions and potions in a white basket but it's getting a little cramped in there as you can see. I try to keep my work space as minimal as possible but the lack of space means that living a minimalistic desk life can be difficult! I only have a cheap Ikea chair at the moment but I am loving this Graham & Brown cushion* which sits nicely behind me on my chair when I work.

When Gemporia got in touch to ask if I would be interested in working with them, I couldn't help but get a little bit excited at the prospect of luxury and beautiful new jewellery. Gemporia believe that owning luxury jewellery should be affordable but still of a high quality. Nothing is mass produced which I think is a really nice idea so you know you are getting not only elegant jewellery but rare items that when they are gone... they are gone.
I'll be honest and say that I'm not really a jewellery person at all. I wear a watch daily if that counts but that's about it. However, when I had a look around on the Gemporia website, I simply couldn't resist picking something out.
I chose these gorgeous 2.14ct tocantine garnet earrings which also happen to be sterling silver so they will last a lifetime! They are so precious and I've really been enjoying wearing them since I got them. They came presented in a cute little pouch so would make a fantastic gift for someone.
Even better?? They are only £30!
I often find it hard to find studs that have butterfly backs that don't end up coming loose so much so that I end up losing the back or the earring itself. However, the butterfly backs to these are really sturdy meaning the weight of the stone won't make the back come loose. Hallelujah!
